Constitution   By-laws


The  MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION, dated 30 August 2000

Says:

A.  The Name of the Society is ASSOCIATION OF DALHOUSIE RETIREES AND PENSIONERS .

B.  The Objects of the Society are as follows:

     1.    To represent and to promote to the University community and to the public the interests of retirees from Dalhousie University (and its constituent parts) and their spouses and beneficiaries;

     2.    To further the understanding of the retirement pension arrangements of Dalhousie University and of the post-retirement benefits available to former staff members of the University; and

     3.    To cooperate with other formal and informal groups that have similar objectives.

C.  The activities of the Association are to be carried out primarily, but not exclusively, in Nova Scotia.  All profits and other revenues of the Association shall be used solely to promote its objectives.

D.   The registered office of the Association is Room 2831, Life Sciences Centre, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3H 4J1.

E.    The recognized agent of the Association at present is Colin Stuttard, Secretary.   

We, the persons whose names addresses and occupations are subscribed, desire to incorporate a society under the Societies Act in pursuance of this Memorandum of Association:
